Freddie and the Dreamers

Not everyone sees the beauty of cricket. If you are one of those people, I consider you to be not only unenlightened but also uncivilised.
Today was a great day for English cricket, and possibly one of the most entertaining to watch. I won't bother explaining (well actually I did but decided to delete my explanation and start again)
Suffice to say, Andrew (Freddie) Flintoff (pictured) came to the rescue for England when they really needed him. He's the most fantastic cricketer I've ever seen and today he put on perhaps his best performance.
So, in honour of Freddie, I propose the he be knighted and canonised. And August 6th should be known as St. Freddies day.

cricket smicket you're so english
Welcome along Karen,
I know you're bright - when you try - I have faith that one day you'll see the light and appreciate the glorious game, until then you remain a savage
not sure what I make of St Freddie's Day, but the cricket was quite exciting. even my little sister was following it with great enthusiasm. hopefully the next text will be as good. still think england will lose.
Dear Auntie Rowland,
I have been having problems saying the world "english" without feeling the need to drink gallons of concentrated bleach afterwards. Do you know how I could work through this problem? It's beginning to affect my social life.
I can say cricket, bloddy pom, and cup of tea without the need for mouth-cleansing.
many thanks
Paul
Elan,
I'm glad that you learnt to appreciate cricket while in India, you are truly enlightened.
It seems the next test got off to a good start today. Personally I hope it's a bit less exciting than the last one because the last one was too close.
England may still lose but I constantly hope for better things, especially when I see how fallible the Aussies were in the field today.
Paul,
I recommend that you continue with your bleach-drinking antics (regardless of vocabulary) as it must have a calming effect on your halitosis.
I can't see how it could affect your social-life in any negative way, you may find that people are willing to stand a couple of yards closer now, and that their faces don't screw-up quite so much when you talk to them; unless you say something really stupid...
'Bloddy Pom'
I think maybe it should go on record, Elan was wrong!
England did not lose, or even draw. No, England won and Australia lost.
That's a cause for celebration if ever there was.
